Armistice Day 2024 Australia 2022. Remembrance day marks the end of fighting in world war i on the western front on november 11, 1918. On the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, a minute’s silence is observed and dedicated to those soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation.

In 1919 and in every year since at 11 am on 11 november, people have paused to remember. Following the devastating 2022 floods residents from cabbage tree island have fought long and hard to be able to return to their homes on cabbage tree island.
